New job with lots of miles, help me choose the model

I am going back to wine and liquor wholesale and I want just the right Benz. In the past I had a grey market 86 SEL that I loved and drove into the ground so to speak but as much as I miss my luxury tank, I need to think about fuel costs. Plus realistically I need to consider potential repair costs as well.

So basicly what I am hoping the group will help me with is which model fits the bill the best so to speak.
-four doors and a realistic amount of comfort for four people on occasion.
-acceptable fuel mileage for someone driving upwards of 100 miles a day both highway and city.
-great repair record/reliability/lower repair costs.

Age is less a factor to me then results honestly. A realistic cap is between 15-20k. It will be the vehicle I put a lot of miles on so I don't see the point in buying new honestly

Thanks in advance

For what you describe - diesel is the only option.
Bad news is that not too many diesel MB make it to USA, so your choice for that budget would be high mileage 2005-2006 E320cdi, or a bit lower mileage 98-99 E300DT
I would stretch my budget to get cdi,
Good luck on your search.

If given the choice I would go with the 98-99 W210 chassis diesel. They are 500,000 mile cars.

The 05-06 could have some catastrophic expenses when the 10 year warranty runs out on the SBC brakes. Good drive train, but electronics overkill.
