2000 SL600 Windshield washer reservoir mystery

Can someone please tell me what the origin is of the lines feeding the stainless steel tubing in the windshield washer reservoir? I had removed the reservoir and was awaiting a new washer pump and my wife inadvertently moved the car which resulted in what feels like a light weight hydraulic fluid being pumped out of the lines.

I am not too familiar with your SL, but if those steel lines go into your washer resevoir, those lines are for the windshield washer fluid heater. The steel lines have antifreeze from the engine, hence hot engine coolant warms and heats up the windshield washer resevoir fluid. Hope that answers your doubt. Cheers!

Thanks

Thanks for your response. I guess it is just oily feeling antifreeze!
