I live in Toronto and have the same challenge. However, more and more now I insist on MB parts for engine parts.
Recently my friend who lives in US bought some air filters and pollen filters for me from an US online store. Both are Mann and supposed to be OEM. I examined the filters, the air filters are similar to MB parts but not the pollen filter. The Mann pollen filter is lighter and a lot less sturdy than MB. It feels cheap and filmsy. Also, the color is different as well, the MB pollen filter looks like a charcoal filter while the Mann is pure white.
I learned that these OEM parts may or may not meet MB specs. It will fit but not sure if it has MB quality. You may have to change them more often and considering the labor cost, you may not be saving much. In Toronto, the labor cost in the dealership is $136 per hour.
To the OP, if you live near US, maybe you can buy them from an US dealership. First step is to call and check the price difference for these injectors.
