i know what i might add might not be relevant to you, but several months ago i replaced the engine in my buddy's ML320 with the M112 V6. His son overheated his engine badly and would cost more to repair than to find another engine and replace. Anyways, I checked the compression on the used engine. His compression range was 195psi lowest and 205psi highest. Very well balanced engine with 118k miles (milage stated from the seller of the engine). anyways, while we were working on it, we replaced old fuel filter and cleaned air filter. He has been driving it and has commented that his truck never had as much power as it does now. This engine is well balanced. on another note, spark plugs are OEM and i highly recommend OEM plugs VS aftermarket. Great difference in the resistance value from aftermarket. Last i remember, OEM plug resistance is around 1k ohms and aftermarket are around 7k to 10k ohms of resistance. talk about reducing performance with a weaker spark.
