I just traded my muscle car for a 1988 MB 560SL.
The car is in almost mint condition, has 110000 miles, kind of a dark grey metallic with black leather interior. From what I can tell, it is all original, except for an aftermarket stereo. Runs, drives perfect, no leaks, or funny noises, and everything works as it should. It realy does look as good as in the pictures!
This is my 6th Mercedes, first SL and MB V8 engine though. Before trading I was reading here as guest. It seems the general consensus is to check the timing chain guides. Although there is no rattle or ticking present I will pull the valve covers in the near future and check them out.
I already got a wealth of information off the 107 forum.
