240 D starter problem
I have 240D 1980, manual tran.
Starter doesn't crank. I have a new solenoid. When I removed the old one,
this part (which move by magnetic polel) doesn't move out. So I did a mistake,
assembly only the body of new solenoid, put back again everything and
try to start the engine, result is the same. No clicks, nothing.
My questions are : Is it possible (without) removing the starter to pull out
the part of solenoid which stay in the starter body.
How many bolts hold the starter?
P.S. The battery is in a good shape. I tested on my son 420 E.
I'll appriciate any ideas.
