1991 190E A/C BLOWING COLD AIR/HOT AIR

Hi everyone, i need some help please, i have a 1991 190E 1.8 which i purchased about 4 years ago and noticed that the former owner had bypassed the heater matrix, the a/c was not blowing cold so i had the system regased and checked for leaks after finding there was no leaks and the a/c was blowing cold i left the garage to go home, about 5 minutes into the journey with a/c still on i noticed it began blowing warm so i switched it off, further down the road i turned it back on it was cold then turned warm this continued for around a year, since then i've changed the dryer, valve near blower motor, and compressor and it's still doing the same thing any suggestions please.
