ordered my car a few days ago, what to expect?

I got approved today through MBFS for my car, it was supposed to arrive tomorrow but the dealer is saying now it might be Monday. I'm getting scared because it was the only car in the country with the options I wanted, how complicated is it for dealers to order from other dealers? Does it ever fall through? I put $1000 down as a supposed deposit on the car. The dealer also SUCKS at communicating "oh yea I'll call you when I find out"

no call

I have had to hound them over this for a few days now. Are they giving me the run around because they aren't making any money on me? I got $8000 off MSRP and I think they are pissed about it.

You chose not to disclosure the location, what might be important. Assuming you are in US - car shipping is pretty risky business here and single car can get bumped via terminals especially when shipped for discount price.
But it is salesman job to stay on the top of the situation and inform you about any changes. Did you talk to the dealership owner?
Good luck.

Expect your car to be delivered next week. That's pretty quick - some of us had to wait 6 months after ordering ours.

Enjoy the anticipation. No need to distrust your dealer at this stage. There'll be plenty of opportunities for that later (when you take it in for service).

It's coming from a dealer across the state, but supposedly it wasn't "at that dealer yet" it was like in transit to it or something. If I put a deposit on the car am I pretty much guaranteed it or can the dealer who currently has the car refuse to give it to the one in my town? I just dont want to lose this car its the only one near me with the lighting kit

At this point if it is in transit to a dealer then it is a done deal. It just has to get to the dealer across state you have the sales order with.

Yep, salesmen confirmed today that I for sure have the car, just "waiting on shipping" ughh why can't I just drive across the state and pick it up? lol, guess he won't get his commission if I do that.

You know what the funniest part out of all this is? MBFS approved me with no cosigner and no proof of income (I really don't even have a job, I'm still in college).

I take it, you're not a finance or economics major?

Mercedes aren't for people who want to have one, it's for people who can have one.

Management with Human Resource concentration. No job doesn't mean no income

I'm only paying 430/mo for the car (15k a year lease $0 down) due to USAA promotion. And I get GI bill plus a ton of grants to go to school, yet my tuition is free so I live off it. I normally wouldn't dream of doing this but it was literally $100 more a month than I was paying on my current car (that I had no problem making the payment on for over a year) and my insurance only went up $50.

I also have decent savings in the bank.

Was it reckless? Probably, but they made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
