'85 380sl questions

I traded this week a '95 Coleman camper for an '85 380SL. The car has many miles on it, 334,xxx, but still runs pretty good. However the exhaust has some issues which are being addressed right now. I do have a question about the motor and what classification the car is. The motor cranks right and runs real good but smokes after heating up. If after heating up I sit at a red light when I start to go it blows a fair amount of bluish smoke out the tail pipe. I know it is oil but I'm not sure if it would valve guides and seals xor if I need to be looking at an engine rebuild. I have also considered buying a replacement motor and don't know if I could replace it with the motor from a 450 or even 560. My car has an automatic transmission so any advice on swapping in a bigger motor would be appreciated.
Also, I'm not sure if I have an R107, a C107 or a W107. Can anyone tell me what I actually have?
