What would you pay for this car?

Drove it and it rides/looks great. What do you guys think? Just want to make sure I'm not walking into a trap... sales guy I'm talking to seems surprisingly genuine (as opposed to some of the BMW guys -- those guys are ridiculous).

That seems like a fair price to me. I ran the VIN through NADA (commercial acct), and it says clean retail on it is $28,425. Clean trade in value is $24,675. So you do have some wiggle room. Carfax checks out as a one-owner North Carolina vehicle.

How much are those cars cost new? From what I remember once you add extended warranty to this one - you are pretty close and new cars come with much better financing beside the warranty.
I don't buy cars from stealers, but shouldn't that be CPO car?

Which is why I suggested he consider a new one in the last thread he started.

It is CPO -- it's a C300 with the P1 package and nav. New I think those cars run closer to $40k.

You should know that price if you are really serious.
I would look on it from this angle. You are paying +- 75% of new car price for 4 years old model. With about 10 years life expectancy the car has 60% of its life remaining.
Can you compare the numbers?

$37,395 actually, and that's list. I figure you should be able to one for less than $35,000. So, 4 years newer, full warranty and no miles for around $8,000 more. The new one wins hands down.

Yeah, but that is paper logic. Some people value the $8000 now more, than $20,000 saved down the road.
This is why lot owners choose gasoline engines, instead of buying money saving diesels
