This is my first time using this forum. I've found many helpful tips from BenzWorld, and appreciate all your inputs. Hopefully, I may be able to share some of the things I'll learn as I go about DIY projects with my cars.
I've had 6 Mercedes' - it started with a '91500SL that cost me a fortune in repairs. It was a very low mileage car when I bought it in 2003 (19,000 miles), and I thought I found a bargain. The car wasn't used much, and actually spent that last few years sitting in a garage. All the rubber parts eventually cracked and leaked and needed replacing. I cried uncle and traded it in for a 2005 C-230 Sport in 2006. This car has been the best Mercedes so far, and I still have it. It's in San Francisco and is used for road trips. I live in Hawaii, and don't get to drive like I want; so every so often, I take a trip to San Francisco and drive my C-230. My significant other takes care of it when she works out of San Fran. Long story short - I've since bought and sold a 2002 CL500 (suspension problems made me sell that one for a new 2009 E-350). I've also had and sold a 2005 C-230 like the one in San Francisco, and now have another E-350 (2007 model). So I'm down to 2 E-350 Sports and a C-230 Sport. These three cars have been the best cars I've owned (I've owned 46 cars so far). I've made many mistakes buying and selling cars over the years, and hopefully have learned a lot along the way. Here's to many miles of great motoring!
