Terms of Wheel & Tire Protection package

Any one have a link to the terms of this package, I cant seem to come up with any thing. More specifically I'm looking for the terms on the coverage for the wheels.

I purchased a vehicle that has this coverage for 1 more year. On some wheels the clear coat is coming off, and road rash on the others.

I'm having problems with Mercedes on my wheel and tire insurance.

Mercedes had the vehicle for over a week trying to complete this claim because one wheel is very bent and the other has a hairline crack. Mercedes insurance said they will not cover it because I didn't transfer the insurance over to my name after I purchased the vehicle. The insurance is transferable so I'm thinking Mercedes is just trying to pull a scum bag move to avoid paying for the repair.

Does any one have experience dealing with this type of issue?

Sorry for the trouble you're having with your claim. Unfortunately, I think you may be stuck if MBZ is playing tough guy with you. Terms in most of these sort of contracts (not just MBZ) are pretty clear about the need to officially transfer it. With two cars I've personally sold that had these, I made it very clear to the new owner they needed to take the action to fill out the transfer themselves and cited that in my bill of sale to them. It was probably my paranoia a situation like what you are going through would somehow come back to haunt me as the original owner.

I did call Mercedes corp phone # after I purchased the vehicle in order to see if all recalls have been completed and they updated the owner information. I'm not sure how the insurance information didn't get updated. I think my plan forward is to make sure the insurance has been transferred and then drop the vehicle back off to see what happens.
