Front swaybar links/bushing
I have a 1996 E230T wagon and the front is making clunking noises on both sites when I drive over bumping road services. Mercedes are telling me that to fix this it'll cost me about AU$3K including parts. Recently I replaced my front tires and noticed that the rubber bushes were worn and looked broken, which seamed to me could be the problem. What is involved in replacing these rubber bushes, and is the arm on which these bushes sit called sway-bar?
Why would the replacement be so expensive? Should I post a picture of the bushes to make it more clear what I'm talking about?
Looking forward to any reply and help.
