SL600 throttle computer

Trying to help my grandpa out with his 95 SL600. He took it to a shop the other day after it threw itself in limp mode and they diagnosed the problems... The left throttle actuator, right throttle actuator and throttle control module are all out and need replaced. At least that's what the shop is telling him. All this is going to cost around $15,000 to be repaired, which is something my grandpa isn't willing to do.

I looked up the part numbers on them and here's the prices for them new coming from Mercedes themselves...

Left throttle actuator - $3,056 Part #000-141-5625

Right throttle actuator - $3,680 Part #000-141-5525

Throttle control module - $3,952 Part #129-545-2232

Seems completely outrageous to me... So my question is, is there a cost effective way of getting these things fixed?

I looked up and saw that the actuators can actually be repaired instead of replaced... Anyone know of a good place to send them to have that done?

If it's going to cost that much though, I think he's just going to throw the flag up

Also, if anyone has these parts just laying around or has a good hook-up, please let me know.

I appreciate any help that I receive.

Part# 129-545-2232 is an ABS Control Unit.
Part# 000-141-5625 is a throttle actuator list is $3820 has it for $2748
Part# 000-141-5525 is the other actuator and list is $4600 has it for $3312

So they being fair on the parts price, but one part # is incorrect.

I would post your problem in the correct forum which is the R129 class.

Also get a second opinion. I have a feeling that all three parts failing at the exact same time is possibly a ploy to get a huge repair for the shop.
That second opinion should be done by a qualified MB tech using an MB SDS computer and you want to know the exact malfunction codes before any work starts.
A diagnostic like that at a dealer would run about $110-120.

Sorry about that, wasn't sure where to post it at.

And since that's a wrong part number, I wonder if the shop is lying to my grandpa about that... I'll let him know and see if he can get it to a dealer. Thanks for the help.
