I would like to introduce myself the BenzWorld community. I live in Norway, have a genuine interest for cars and have been a member here for a little while but not posting since I didn't had a Merc yet
I'm really new to Mercedes cars and have been driving Audi and Volkswagen for over 10 years. Before that I had a lot of different cars, f. ex. Fiat 126 Personal, Alfa Romeo Sprint QV, Ford's, Toyota Corolla GT TwinCam 16 and Honda Accord etc. etc.
While observing the used car market I read up on lot's of things on this forum, so thank you for sharing that knowledge!
My dream Mercedes have always been the 560SEC and one day I will buy one. To me it combines looks, power and craftsmanship and it just oozes pure GT class! But since a mint condition 1991 will set me back around 50.000$ and cost a fortune to insure, drive and maintain I had to moderate my self until I'm on top of things moneywise
Anyhow I narrowed in on the W210 and waited until the right came out for sale.. There it was; a Silver 320 with only 78.000 miles to it, 1 previous owner and a full service-book. Original in every way and the interior is mint. Must have had all 4 doors replaced since there's hardly any rust on them
Theres bubbles on all fenders, bust it's by far the best 210 I've looked at and I think I can get on top of the rust and keep it to a minimum. It had Antirust treatment at some point too, so underneath it's fine.
And what a machine it is. It's so smooth. The power delivery, the gearbox, the floaty behaviour. It just like riding a flowing recliner.
Plans are several, first I will give it new fluids and a thorough detail but there's the odd stuff too that needs attention, like 3 parking sensors, a new MAF, a non working CD multi changer, a broken front spring (coil), some small parts up front that makes some sound..
But here its is..
