I really like the back lip on the car and agree that those are upgraded brakes from stock and nice AMG rims from a C or E class. The car though is not an AMG. If you take it to the dealer and have them read your vin you will see that its a 230 with aftermarker Modification Package. $3400 was a steal. I got mine with 81,000 miles for $8000.
The AMG Brakes in 1999 said "Mercedes Benz" not "AMG", and if you have the supercharged engine you don't have the "AMG" engine as that was a NA V8. you also dont have the AMG body package that was standard for an AMG.
It has Brakes and maybe suspension upgrade but not a true "AMG" and the decal on the glove box you can get off Ebay for $10.
I just wanted you to know what you really have with that car so if some day you do decide to sell it (I will never sell Mine) you cannot really advertise it as an AMG but advertise it with AMG Package or the specifics, youll be able to get a better return on your investment.
But GREAT CAR VERY GOOD LINES. AND WONDERFUL COLOR (mine is also brilliant silver metallic).
