New Benz owner in SoCal

Finally found the right Mercedes to replace my wife's 1997 Chevy Tahoe. It wasn't easy, but a task I had to do. Having been a muscle car owner since the early 1970s (even enjoying a 14-year stint as editor of Super Chevy Magazine), it was a little tough for me to choose a non-Chevy that I felt comfortable "letting" her drive. I think I hit a home run (maybe even a Grand Slam!), as I just took possession of a black 1999 ML 320. But don't let the year fool you. It has only 111,000 miles on it! (I'm told that this mileage is nothing and it's barely broken in!). Additionally, it doesn't have a "ding" in the black paint. Gray leather is in great shape, I'd rate it a 9, and the rest of the car seems to be in overall super condition. It does have a few quirky things that need attention, like the power actuator malfunctioning, a loose inside rear view mirror and a broken remote mirror switch, but it rides nice, has a good "solid" feel at both the brake pedal and steering wheel and has an awesome set of quality 20-inch Mercedes wheels. Being a hot rodder down to the core, I originally wanted to find an ML 430. But I just couldn't find the right one. So for a little more than the cost of a new refrigerator and a washer and dryer from Sears, my wife is a super happy camper behind the wheel of her new Benz. But, despite being a master mechanic and capable of doing just about anything to fix a machine, I'm a little outside of the box with this ride. So you may see me here from time to time picking your "expert" brains to give me the info I need to fix some of these minor issues. It's not quite the same thing as restoring a Nova or Camaro, but if it makes the wife happy, I'll have to fix it. Glad to be here!
