E200 (W210) 2000 Repping Nairobi, Kenya.

Hi All!

I recently acquired an E200 W210 Automatic with 100K Km on her. My previous car was a Toyota Vista, so I am still reeling at the difference in handling, styling and sheer beauty of the car. I happen to know very little about engines though I can tell she's a bit lazy to pick up speed and her kick down shows up (albeit feebly) at times and other times is MIA. Kinda unsettling at times when overtaking, to lack for that power.

She cranks a tad too long before picking but up rides real quiet with her windows up with very few squeeks all round. Pulls to the right a bit, and starts to shudder at 150Kph. If I maintain a speed of 100-120KPH I am getting 8L/100KM. If caught in the traffic jam it drops to even 23L/100KM.
I intend to go in for a full service this weekend and iron out these hopefully minor issues.

The site is a wealth of info, although not that easy to navigate, but I guess that will change once I get the hang of it.

Its good to be here. iSalud.

Could be something as simple as a dirty fuel filter. And welcome to BW.
