AC blower sucked in tiny Post-It... how was this possible?

The AC blower fan was making weird noises... since my car is old, I figured the
blower fan must be going, so I bought a good condition from a well-known
MB parts recycling company.

I took the lower panels off the dash and removed the old blower fan. It was
the first time I've done something like this, but it was quite easy. Took me
20 minutes or so. Started the car and the AC ran quietly with no issues.

When I was about to throw away the old blower fan, I discovered the problem.
A tiny Post-It note, about the size of a stamp, was stuck between the blades.
I pulled the Post-It off and went back to the car. I took the new blower fan
off and put the old one back in.... what you know... works fine and just as
quiet as the new one. The Post-It was the culprit.

For the life of me, I can't imagine how the Post-It managed to be sucked into
the blower fan? Any ideas?
