Driveshaft

Hopefully someone can help me,
I'm trying to find out if the driveshaft support bearing can be changed without removing the driveshaft (will the shaft split)?
It's on a 06 A class 160 CDI.

I can't seem to find any manuals or drawings for the car unfortunately

Thanks in advance
Steve

A little confused here, the car should be front wheel drive and as such there is no support bearing.

Thanks for the reply,

I did not think it had one either but it does. The garage I bought the car from is claiming to have changed it under warranty but it dosent look like they have. They have also had 2 goes at changing the cv joint and it has just gone again! Now I have a wobble on the front wheel too. I wanted to get armed with some info before I tackle them next.

Thanks
Steve
