Unhappy No Start - 2002 E320

Help !!! Bought a 2002 E 320 Wagon a month ago with 93,000 miles. Great car... but... Just arrived a couple of days ago on vacation after a 350 mile cruise. Walked out to the car this morning and... No start. Spins over fine, has gas... no start. "No Malfunctions" shows on the read out.

Any ideas?

Barring that... any recommendations for reliable Mercedes repair in the Gulf Shores, AL area?

Thanks in advance..
Rob

Welcome to the forum. If you want to fix it yourself get an OBD2 scanner and check for diagnostic trouble codes. "No Malfunctions" means nothing in this case. Good luck!

Might be a bad CPS (cranksshaft position sensor), easy 10-minute replacement with the right tool. But might be not because often CPS symptom is with hot/warm engine. $15 ebay, $20-$30 elsewhere.
Check battery. Pep Boys has the battery/starter/alternator checking tool that looks like a cigarette plug, $8.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I called my Mercedes mechanic back home. That makes two votes for a CPS. If I were at home, with my tools, etc. etc., I would have dove into it myself. Given that we're on vacation... she went to the dealer in Pensacola yesterday afternoon. Thanks again !!!
