Some people choose to go into massive debt to get the things they want, because the rest of society will pay off their debt when they file for bankruptcy and manage to keep all the nice things they purchased with the money of others.

Then there are some who can genuinely afford them because of what they do for a living. Not everyone is hurting in this economy.

Question

Steve,

You really need to consider why you joined this forum and why your here...myself, I don't quite get it;

You joined stating that you're parents had given you, their 18 y/o son, a '05 C320 mercedes. That you're not working and I assume still in school. You were questioning the cost of ownership including your insurance coverage to which you did recieve some good feedback,

Shortly after that, you expressed a desire to change the wheels and have the car painted, almost as it the cost of ownership was no more a factor for you...again

Now it seems you've migrated to almost "bashing" other owners , i.e. your statement WTF, and questioning their values as if to be judgemental of others :

You may want to reconsider why you joined this forum and what you hope to accomplish from having done so. The majority of members here serve to participate by helping others or are themselves seeking assistance. Questioning their personal preferences is not a value adding component.

While you certainly may not be asking for it, my advice to you would be to speak with your parents as to why they chose to give you the car (likely because, its safe and reliable transportation for an 18 y/o); and as well express to them what you want to do with it.

As to the forum, consider it as a learning opportunity. If you have a genuine question - the members will most certainly help you.

What are you saying? English must not be your first language. Most of your posts have been totally incoherent and difficult to decipher.
