2001 S600 V12 - few niggles that need sorting

I've recently bought an S600 V12 and its got a few niggles I need to tackle. All help and advice greatfully appreciated

1: there is a loud high pitched whining noise from the front left (as you sit in the car) side of the engine bay. It rises and falls exactly with the revs but gets louder if you pop the transmission into Neutral from Drive. Very, very noticeable at low revs (below say 2,500) but less so at high revs or hard acceleration. There is currently an engine air intake to the airbox missing on that side so I have ordered one but doubt its that as its too loud really....

2: the passenger side rear window drops down over time on its own and wont respond to the electric switch. Assume its fallen off its runners. Is this a DIY job though?

3: it had developed a hot starting issue. Will always fire up from cold (touch wood) but occasionally refuses to re-start when hot. Just makes a high pitched, but quiet, noise which I assume is the starter working. Crankshaft Position Sensor?? The only thing is it doesn't stop once its running which I thought was a sign of a faulty CPS? No poor running or anything - purely the hot starting issue.

As I say all help greatfully appreciated. Apart from a spell with a 190E Cosworth a bit ago this is my first experience with Mercedes (from BMW) so really dont want to spoil these early months of ownership.....
