Greetings and salutations fellow Merc fans from beautiful rural far northern VA. I am currently enjoying my second CLK320 Cabriolet. The first one was a black opal '99 with black top and ash interior. My "new" one, an '04 purchased in 2009 with 40k miles, is a rockin' cadet blue with denim blue interior and black top. After more than a year of searching for the perfect drop top (it's surprising how many don't have the mandatory in NOVA bun warmers) among the bevy of available 3-series, A4's, C70's, 9.3's and Mini's I finally found the current love of my life (after my wife of course!) at an Audi dealer. It was love at first sight!
As for my background, I have always had a love of things mechanical/electronic and spent my youth tinkering with cars and boats. I was a line technician at a major Chevrolet dealer for 4+ years and have been a Customer Service Engineer (Maytag man) for Xerox for the past 34 years. Although my knowledge of automotive technology is far from current I still do most of my own maintenance and manage to fix most things that go wrong myself.
After 2 1/2 years and 39k miles, I am still in love with BLU JENZ even though the convertible top has started acting up. I hope to find a resolution in the BenzWorld forums.
