A/C problem

I have a 2004 c230 Kompressor and my a/c is acting up. When I first get in the car in the morning the a/c works great, but as the day wears on, 2 things happen: 1. The temp gets warmer, still cool but not as cold as when I first get in. 2. The amount of air coming out the vents gets weaker and weaker. I literally have the fan on full/max and there is barely a noticable amount of air coming out of the vents. This starts in the morning and lasts all day. The next morning starts all over again, blowing cold air strongly then slowly decreasing to cool air with minimal air flow.

Sounds like you are low on refrigerant and the evaporator is gradually freezing (or the evaporator gets frozen for some other reason).

You might get better guidance from the W203 forum:

If the refrigerant was low, how would the evaporator get cold enough to freeze? Sound like you have a stepper motor problem. Do you hear any plastic clicking noises in the dash when you turn on the car?
