Post What do you say when....

Someone asks you, "why Mercedes Benz? They are so expensive/overpriced/over the top, etc etc..." In one or two sentences, what is your best comeback response that briefly educates the person who asks and doesn't make you seem like a douchebag..

I had a friend who had a stable of cars which included a Mercedes, Rolls, Jag, Cadillac, BMW, and others. I asked him which car his wife preferred and why... was it the ride?...was it the style?.....the acceleration?.. He replied: She likes the Benz....because it fits her a-- better!

I would lie and tell them this car will run for 1 million miles and you will buy 4-5 by that time. Now what did you say about expensive?

I drive a 1959 diesel Ponton (180D). Very durable, easy to fix with available parts (thanks to the internet!) I don't see other cars from that era running around the streets where I am and, I believe, it will definitely outlast all these new, electronic gizmo laden cars on the streets today.

It feels good...

Picked my wife up this morning from some testing at the Sleep Center. Had the Benz.

She said, Oh, the special treatment. And she smiled. Big!

Yeah, that's why I love the ML.

The varying models of Mercedes-Benz vehicles are by comparison valued in line with competing modesl offered by its competitors, example: Lexus LS 460 vs MB S500, CLS 550, actually, the Lexus is more. Same for BMWs.

Its the reputation of design, engineering and performance that places these type Brands in the upper-scale market and the manufacturers enjoy a wide consumer base that spans all age ranges of interest. Simply, they are what they are - not for everyone but for many.
