I have used this forum for information for a while and have now decided to join. I have a 2002 C240 (right hand drive). I have owned a few cars including BMWs, Volkwagens and an Alfa Romeo (just to confirm my petrolhead status). But even though the Merc was not bought new, it definitely has that something extra that all my other cars did not have.
I live in SA, but deep down I am a frustrated American. My daughter lives in Florida and I have 5 US grandchildren. I look forward to sharing information with forum members.

I am a fairly new member and this is my first post. I live in South Texas and have a 1984 380 SL that I have owned for approximately one year. Although the miles are unknown, (Speedometer works, Odometer does not), it had been running good until very recently. When I am at a stop the RPM s go up and down and up and down and then it dies, and although it re-starts immediately I have noticed an increased fuel consumption and a very black exhaust that even leaves it's mark on my drivewa. Anybody out there with a similar situation ? Joe Cortinas JOECORTINASP@HOTMAIL.COM
