This is just one man's opinion...but considering that this is your *wife's* car and that a particular look on one's car can be a very visceral and personal reaction, I wouldn't just go buy some that I liked.
If your heart is set on going this route, then cruise over to tirerack.com. You can plug in the car and select different wheels to see what they look like on it. Pick out what you would buy, print that picture and give it to her with her birthday card and tell her that would be your choice, but obviously you want HER to be happy so she should get what she wants.
Tire Rack doesn't sell MB OE wheels, but they don't sell junk, either. So anything you get there will be acceptable quality or better. If you also need tires, you can buy the package and they'll ship them mounted and balanced and ready to mount, with new TPMS sensors, and also with lug bolts if needed.
The only place to get new MB wheels is, unfortunately, at the dealer. The reason that's unfortunate is because they are stunningly expensive at the dealer, you may as well start exploring HREs, for example. You can find them used on CL and flea-bay and sometimes in like-new condition. But you'll have to worry about TPMS sensors if you're buying used, too.
Good luck, and happy birthday to the wife, too.
Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. (Winston Churchill)
