mercedes e320 1998 running on 97-100.

Is it normal for an e320 1998 mercedes to run on 97-100 all the time? I live in dominican republic where the temperature is normally between 90 and 100 farenheit. When it rains or at night the temperature here may drop to about 83 farenheit, but the car will still run between 97-100 with a/c on.

Considering how hot it is there I'd say that is normal. It should go down a little when you are driving highway speeds. One thing you can check: on my 1998 E430 there were 2 fans in front of the radiator. One is powered and that drives the other with a small belt. Make sure both of them are turning.

That is fine what it is running at. Do remember you are running or I hope in your sake the A/C all the time. The a/c compressor generates tons of heat- part of how it works. I live in Florida part time and when down there it gets very hot, even thou I am on the water. Similar to where you are and our cars run about that temp. 100% normal. Keep a goog look out and make your coolant is topped off.
