hey everyone. anyone could help?

hi there people and Mercedes users!

I own a Mercedes Benz 220cdi elegance selection, year 2000, automatic drive. lately it has started showing some weird problems that even repair guys and their computers seem not to be able to fix them. (someone told me I hadn't found the right mechanic??? how do u tell??? they have a garage and a license, right?) so i thought I might ask the web world and lets see what happens. this is what happens to my car.

1. while driving, it losses power suddenly and does't go over 2000 rpm. (lately i found out its called go into limp???) it changes gears under 2000rpm but it needs an runway to arrive to100km/h. if I stop and push on the gas pedal, it doesn't go over 3000rpm. if I turn the engine off and restart it again, everything goes fine, for a while (2-3 days), then same problem.

2. while air conditioning is on, when I stop at a red light or in traffic, there is a lot of black smoke coming out of the exhaust. and the rpm indicator goes up and down the normal 750rpm it should have while not moving.

these are the symptoms. I hope someone of you has heard of this problem and maybe have some suggestions. anyway, thank you and have a nice day

Not a Diesel Tech myself, but this car is obviously overfueling. You really should try a different workshop, one that understands diesel engines.
