Hi from Melbourne Australia

Hi all,

At the insistence of my wife, we have become the owners of a 1973 350SL. This is to be become her daily driver as soon as I finish some minor (and no so minor) repairs...

This is the first Merc I have owned. I cut my teeth on Australian and British cars growing up, and I have been totally confused by the German way of doing things...
Where are the corroded bullet connectors?
Why doesn't my wiring loom change colour 1/2 dozen times for the one circuit?
How come the one set of metric sockets fits all of the nuts? Surely I need a mix of whitworth, BSW, SAE, etc etc spanners?

Why does everything seem to make sense the way it has been designed???

Enough of my Newbie rant... I look forward to asking stupid questions, being told to check previous posts for answers, and slowly but surely being able to contribute to this forum...
