Post New Mercedes owner hoping to learn more about DIY maintenance!

Hi everybody,

I've just recently purchased a 1999 E320 4Matic wagon for my wife to use as a chariot for the new daughter we are expecting in a few months.
Got a great deal on this beautiful single-owner vehicle with only 119k miles!
Only minor cosmetic issues that I've found so far:
The plastic hood that covers the motor has a crack in it, shouldn't cause any problems I don't think.
The spring-loaded cup holder in the center console needs to be replaced.
The motorized passenger side mirror does not move side to side only up and down.

I am hoping to figure out how to fix these things on my own as well as hopefully perform regular routine maintenance as needed. I would certainly appreciate any tips or if anyone can recommedn books and/or websites that would be helpful in this regard!
