Oregon to New York long tow with a '12 ML350
I'm looking for information primarily to do with how the 7 pin connector on the back of the ml350 is supposed to send signals to the various lights on my towed vehicle (Which I just finished wiring & have tested continuity on the connector to plug into the Mercedes.) I am only getting a steady 1.5V on the Left Turn/Brake, Right Turn/Brake, & Back-up blade connectors on the Mercedes, the Tail is giving 30mV I expected when I turned on the hazards for the LT/B & RT/B lines to change voltage in pulses. I am getting 12V on the power line at all times, is this system expecting me to have a box on my towed vehicle that converts low voltage signals?
