So - I am new to the entire diesel world - and boy is it messy.
Last week I adopted a 1982 300D - Fair to Good quality - the driver cared for her. Just enough work needed on her to be a great car to dive into.
Most of my futzing on cars have been in the form of Volvo 740/940 wagons and pre-'65 Lincoln's ( and a weird 85 Cadillac - but that was a mess) so this journey is very new to me - I have already picked up the Haynes manual; changed out the oil and filter just to be sure it was quality oil in there; degreased the engine in hopes to find the small oil drip that is marking my driveway.
I will have a few questions as I have already found two wires that lead to nothing and an open vacuum line wanting a mate...but I will do a bit of recon first.
With no further ado - here she is:
