Progressive shuddering

Hey guys,

I have a ML320 that has been progressively getting worse. It started about a month ago with it sounding a little out of tune but now it shudders to the point where I don't even want to take it out of the garage. The spark plugs have been replaced and being that it's progressive I assume that it's not the coils as they work or they don't with nothing in between. Any thoughts?

Sure. The best place to start is by pulling codes and seeing what they tell you.

I trust when you replaced the plugs you got the wires connected back properly? The plugs fire sequentially, so you have to get the a coil connection to the A plug and b to B for each cylinder.

Also, please click user cp and edit details to add your vehicle and location to your profile; it's often useful information when you're seeking assistance. And how many miles and what year is your ML? What other maintenance has been done or deferred? Any other symptoms, like weird noises, poor fuel economy, etc.?

Good luck.
