gas gage not registering?? 4 repairs!!!!

I have a 2008 c300 which for the 4th time now the gas gage is not registering it just stays as if its empty the warning light doesnt come on. I have had this repair done 3 times already with the last time they "re- routed" my gas line but every few months it seems to get broken again. I have had this repair for free 3 times as my car was under warranty and i heard this repair is like 1000. do i have a case against the dealer to try and get it fixed for free since this will be the 4th time on this issue. anyone heard of this problem and want to chime in please...

sounds electrical. The dealer should have figured that out in the first place, or at least after repairing it once or twice. Maybe it's something to do with the gauge itself, as opposed to the fuel level sender; which is what I assume they've been fixing.. My suggestions would be a: post this in the area for your specific chassis, and b: if there is a different dealership near you, go to it. If your warranty is up, find a good independent benz specialist.

I believe your car is a 204. Here's the link to their page. W204 C-Class - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum For future reference it's in the "Mercedes sedan forums" section on the main forums page.
