1987 190E 2.6 leaking coolant

For my 18th birthday, my parents gave me a budget of $2000 to find a decent car. I found this () car on Craigslist and paid $1600. Everything runs top notch but just yesterday my dad and I changed the oil and put anti-freeze/coolant (It had water before). It started leaking coolant from this thing:

I don't know what that part does, when we got it,the cables were disconnected.

I'm new to cars and to the forum. I would really like to get good information.

That is the auxiliary water pump, part of the HVAC system.

Sounds like you should also check, and probably switch out, all the fluids when you can since it was obviously not cared for as well as you're going to. Enjoy it, congrats on your first MB and welcome to BenzWorld!

I already switched out all the fluids, also, there's water leaking under the car (In between the driver and passenger). Can any of you kinda predict what's wrong with the car?
