C300 or C350

I'm pretty psyched. Finally in a position for a new car. So, I'm contemplating either the c300 @ 228 HP V6 or the c350 @ 300HP V6

I'm wondering if there is a vast difference in the performance, speed of the 2.
I really want to get the c350, however I'll have to get something with like 40k miles on it, which I don't want to do.

I'm looking at 2010 and 2011. Was told that prior years have problems. But I'm a MB noob, so educate me before I make a mistake. I want to think this through and get something I'm happy with.

I'm trying to stick around 35K for money. Probably will finance 10k if I can get a good rate, if not I'll just buy the car outright.

Any help is appreciated.

MB calls both of those a W204 and that forum (found under the sedans heading) is the best place to ask. But I can say that if you buy a 40,000 mile C350 as a CPO you will get a warranty every bit as good as the new car warranties.

Unless you are a power freak, the 228HP for small car is A LOT
I found that for 4000 lb car, I need 120 hp to be barely OK and 170 hp make me comfortable on California hills. Than I drove 44 hp and than 90 hp VW on those hills as well.
It is not the sudden acceleration what makes good cruising time. It is avoiding pit stops and I assume 300HP v6 like to drink a lot.
Also those high-performing engines do have lower reliability, although that might be individual luck.
As MM pointed, go to section where people drive those cars for better response and good luck on the purchase.
