There is a sub forum here that is specific to wheel and tire questions, may be of more use to you.

With that offset, those R wheels will not work on the W210 chassis absent some serious spacers, more than an inch, maybe an inch and a half. You're spinning your wheels (no pun intended) messing with those.

If you want 20s, go find ones that will fit. Tire Rack has a great selection, then you'll see the workable offsets, too. Even if you don't buy there, at least then you will grasp some knowledge.

Good luck.

Actually, you didn't post in the vehicle-specific forum, but the wheels and tires one that DirectLA was suggesting...which to be honest really isn't that great for these kinds of questions. The W210 forum is; had you posted there you would have gotten plenty of responses.

BTW, any of the W211 wheels will fit (at least the non-AMG ones, I haven't bothered to research the AMG specs), all you need are custom lug bolts. There are plenty of 17s as well, which IMHO is the ideal size on the W210 chassis. No appreciable loss of ride quality, slightly smaller sidewall, a little more treadwidth on the road.

All of that info and more is...you guessed in, in the W210 forum.

Ok so my bad. I thought going o a wheel and tire forum for wheel and tire questions would be the best place to go. So I'm sorry. Like I said, I am not all about getting twenties on my ride, but for the price I was very interested. Thanks for the help everybody! I hope this is just the beginning of a wonderful experience. I have lots of ideas for my car. I will post pictures as I go. More than likely going to go with the painted 18's I found for an ok price.

I guess when you get an idea about installing whirlpool on your Mercedes, you will come to this forum as well, not to the Jacuzzi Forum?
Mercedes owners are pretty conservative guys. Each time you come here with questions about pimping your car - you will get cold looks.

Sir, with all do respect, if I were trying to pimp out my Mercedes, I would've just bought some gaudy ugly shiny HUGE 20's. I am trying to keep it looking like a Mercedes not a tuned out Civic. I want to keep it respectable and nice looking. Hence the reason, I was researching factory Mercedes rims to put on in place of the peeling chrome ones I have now. They aren't terrible, but it's not nice looking when I see the spot of chrome missing on the inside of the rim. Again, I assumed the best from a group, and have found a smart aleck that just wants to make everything I am tryin to do sound like I am a child with pimpalicious dreams. Thanks for everyone's input. I appreciate it!

In my humble opinion, that's about as high as you'll want to go. But don't completely disregard Check Code's suggestion about the 17" W211 wheels. I've seen a photo of his and they look very nice on the W210 chassis.

Thank you! I am probably going to get them, if the gentleman will come down a little bit on his price. I like the rims he has, but I'm curious what rims you are talking about. I like the 17's that come on the sport package 210 body, but I want a new and somewhat unique but still respectable. Does that makes sense? Thanks again!

I had 17" AMG on our W210 and didn't like the shaky ride, so I went back to original 16" size.
Maybe your roads are better, but in Bay Area you need a lot of rubber for cushion.

Agree that the 210 sports package wheels are nice, and so are the 2002 special edition ones but the latter are rare. The 211 Check Codes has are the 6 (I think) double spoke ones. By far the most commonly found on the early 211.
