New to Benz, long time German fan

After 7 Suburbans, we are going to give it a go with a 2007 GL 320 CDI. We have a VW Jetta TDI and a GMC HD 2500 Duramax in the fleet, so this is diesel #3. We also have a 1973 Porsche 914 2.0 and 2000 Porsche 911 C2. So a fan of German cars, regardless of where they are built.

The GL will be the first American built SUV we have had in a while, the last two Suburbans were made in Mexico.

I do a lot of my own work and am in need of sources for a service manual. I have found threads on GL manuals, however only for the 450. Anyone know of a good reference for the GL 320?

Other than that we should be good to go.

Do you mean service manual, owners manual or workshop manual? If workshop manual, there is only one true source and that is WIS Workshop Information System and this covers all MB. It comes in CD format and you may find a copy on ebay.

I am looking for a manual that describes how to repair and maintain the vehicle. So either a service manual or a workshop manual, whichever fits your definition.

I want to be able to do as much maintenance and repair as I can. I have always maintained my Saab's, BMW's, Audi's, Porsche's, Volvos, Volksagens and my American trucks, I want to keep it up. So if anyone has found a source (be it DVD or hardbound) specifically that covers the 2007 GL320 CDI I would appreciate knowing about it.

Thanks
