Gauges not responding and hard start when warm..

if this is in the wrong forum I apologize in advance and feel free to move it.

Im ashamed to admit that my little 84 450sl has sort of taken the back burner to my other vehicles. I finally got a new battery for it. Started right up. But two things are going wrong. A none of the gauges will read anything, not a millimeter of movement. And the turn signals and hazards dont work. The turn signals have been an on going battle where if they quit working I could play with the hazard switch and get them going, but now. Nothing,

Also it has the weirdest problem. I have not even turned this thing over in months, with a new battery BOOM not even 2 full cranks and its running, But once it has run for a couple hours, and you go to start it up when its warm, it takes for ever for it to catch, never had this trouble before. Any help is appreciated. THANKS!

You need a new hazard switch more then likely.

Also your running into the dreaded vapor lock so common with these vehicles.

As for the gauges check your OVP relay.

Head over to the r/c107 forum and check the encylopdiea Germanica at the top.

P.S. fill out your profile.
