400SEL '93

Hi, I'm Kent - I just bought a 93 400SEL two weeks ago. I have an ignition and keyset for car that I don't need - I put $135 into it - if you need it, I have it, but otherwise, I don't have any other parts. I live in PA where they have an annual inspection - I ended up being kicked to the curb by the inspector dude because the double window pane on the driver's door had condensation in it - he couldn't see through it so well - when I told him that I could see through it if I leaned forward, he didn't seem to laugh - he just doesn't get my sense of humor. When I was getting my insurance set up for this car, I asked about how it was that I heard all the time people getting their windows fixed for free - the lady told me that it was glass coverage and $0 deductible that ended up costing only a few extra bucks per month - so the $1000.00 driver door glass was a freebee - and the other thing hanging it up was the high beams didn't work. I fixed that last night - I bypassed the problem and installed a switch in the interior of the car that illuminates - as per DOT specs.
Now that I've been driving this car, I find that I have to start out earlier than before to go wherever because I really enjoy driving it. My Rottweiler enjoys riding in it as well - the back windows go all the way down so he can stick his big meaty head out there in the breeze.
I know you'll enjoy your new car as well - once I took off the cheesy Mercedes vanity plate on the front and installed the hood ornament, it was a beautiful brand new car for me. Good luck!
