First car, What to Buy? Decisions, Decisions...

So I'm currently 17, turning 18 and have been looking at Mercedes for a long.....long time. I'm literally obsessed now I have to get one or else i'll spend the rest of my life wondering what could have been.

So I'm stuck as of what to get.
It seems that I either go with quality and age, or supposed lesser quality but newer.

After hours and hours of research and reviews, here are the options...

1994-1995 W124-
I love the W124! supposedly the last of the over-engineered rock solid Mercedes this is my ideal Mercedes to get. It seems the facelift model strikes the best balance between quality and age, a good example of the w124 is definitely what i'd get.

2000-2001 W210-
Constantly gets crap over how it was the first example of Mercedes cost-cutting. I don't think it really was that bad though. Am I correct in saying most of the issues were fixed in the face-lift? Would age alone be a deciding factor over the w124?

1998-2000 W202-
Same thing as the W210, the facelift model is quite reliable I think, just not as good as the W124. Allot easier to find nice examples with low kilometres aswell where I live. (Sydney, Australia)

I don't really know much about the 190E I think it's quite solid and the same vintage as the w124 though it's really hard to find a good one most of them I see are really cheap and have a crap-load of kilometers on them or their wound back.

So, do I go with reliabilty and age, or lesser quality but newer?
Sorry I know this post is quite long, but if I could please get some guidance on this I would really appreciate it, this is doing my head in!
