Hello from me and my new old 300TE which needs some help!

Hi, what can I say, I love old Mercedes. I have owned two 70s era diesels and just recently picked up an 88 300TE, the wagon I have wanted for a long time and I finally found one that was very clean in and out

I picked it up in phoenix, which has a very low altitude and it drove great, checked it out really good, interior was amzing, outide really good, so paid 2600 for it and drove it home.

As I got up in altitude though, the car started to choke on acceleration. I live at about 5000 feet, and the car chokes whenever I accelerate. I unplugged the baramotric pressure sensor from its electrical connector and it drives much better, but not perfect. I replaced the barometric pressure sensor with another, still the same problem.

So while it drives great at low altitudes, once I get above 2000 feet it starts to suffer and it drives better without the barometric pressure sensor installed.

Any ideas of what else could be causing my problem as it does not seem to be the barometric pressure sensor which I replaced with a new one.
