It is too dark now to get the picture!

The row of 3 square ( about 1 inch in size ) relays in a rack are placed just above the big fan behind the radiator. I suspect that these are controlling the fan and a fuse attached to one of the relays is blown.

The fan does not come on since last heard yesterday. My air con is not working ( probably due to a defective pump ) and that was the reason that I noticed the blown fuse.

Have you replaced the fuse and checked again? If not I would do this and if it blows again then the fan has a major problem.

Sorry to intrude but you gave me advices previously. My current problem is:

Since 2005, I have a V230 of 1998, petrol engine and automatic, vin number VSA638234-23-071305

I use it daily and so far so good except some minor teething problems. This afternoon, I left it in a car park and after 2 1/2 hours, I found no battery!

Fortunately, the car park has a starter kit so I was able to start the car. However, the car does not move when the gear was engaged. After some trying, it moved but soon the red telltale light was on and the car is not moving as it should be.

Long story short, I have to tow it back to my home. The gear box was overhauled several years ago so is it possible that another overhaul is due? Is there any other possible lead I can follow up??

You still have voltage problems get your mechanic to check the alternator charging rate.
