New Brit with 300TD in California

I recently purchased an '83 300TD and this is my first Mercedes! I've gone in for many classics (mostly British) in the past and have used them all as everyday cars. I've wanted to go through a Mercedes phase for a while and am a big fan of diesels. I am now sated

The car is pretty good. It's a blue/yellow plate CA car in metallic gray with 180k on it. It has the potential to be a really nice car, but it's been neglected. I've already had a bunch of essential maintenance work done by an experienced mechanic, but it's now time for me to start spending some time under the hood.

I also own a beautiful 1988 Jaguar XJS-C in black, a 66 Land Rover 88, a 93 Range Rover LSE and a wrecked Triumph Spitfire.

I plan to do a LOT of work on this car over the next year, so looking forward to getting involved.

Ben

Thanks Eric. I like "Benzworld" in the sense that my car is "Ben's Benz"
