W124 front and rear arms bushing orientation

Hi all,

I' m a newbie here, and, even registered since 2010, this is my first post.
My car is a W124 250D, 1987, 1,154,000 Km, and I own it since new. 250D is almost identical to 300D and was a 5 cyl version marketed in Europe (602 engine).
Last week I had the rear control arm bushings and joints done at a local shop using genuine MB parts.

I had read here and there (various forums) that the orientation of bushings is critical (horizontal or vertical flat), and before having the new parts installed I've beeb looking carefully at them in order to locate the flat surface but I failed finding it. So we didn't care about orientation.

Now I'm going to have the front lower arm ball joints replaced, and it is quite clear to me that these do have a reference notch.

So I have now a doubt: what is the reference on the rear bushings and joints for correct orientation?

Thanks in advance for any advise.

Antonio

Problem solved. It was my mistake to believe that for rear bushings it was meant the bushings on the rear control arm. Instead "rear bushings" would refere to the rear bushings on the front control arms.
