trouble with el paso dealer...
i'd like to hear your opinion about an issue i have with mercedes benz of el paso :
i own a '09 e 350 which is due for the b service in about 1000 miles, when i drove through albuquerque a few months back i went to mercedes of albuquerque and asked for an estimate, including four new tires and multiple little things. they were happy to do things but the service was'nt quite due yet and albuquerque is a long haul for me (southern nm )
i went to el paso two weeks ago , asked whether they could do the service and repairs and whether they would match the (very favorable ) estimate for the new tires, yes, they would match it.
so, monday this week i drop of the e class, get a c 300 loaner and the promise of a phonecall this afternoon with an update. service rep calls in pm and says that they have to order the tires (wtf?) and no, now they cannot match the tire price as promised and i will get a call by thursday....
thursday rolls around, no call, when i call today (friday) i cannot get the service rep but a promise that he would return my call in the afternoon, nobody calls ??!?
so i have no idea what is going on , obviously they were either to dishonest or incompetent to tell me upfront what their prices are and how long it will take.
this is my third mb and i have never (in different states) had such an experience! tomorrow i'll go to el paso and take the car back, with or withou new tires.. what would you tell them ?
opinions and advice are highly appreciated!
