Help! I have no clue what I'm doing!!

Hello,

My father recently passed away and I have inherited his 96' C 280 . However, there is, of course, a problem. There's a plastic (heater?) hose running through the engine wall. It has broken off and now coolant leaks out of the car. It's NOT the radiator hoses, I replaced those before finding the culprit. I am NOT a mechanic. I am just trying to repair it so I can sell it to get my mother another car. First, what is the part called? Second, what does it go for and how difficult is it to replace?

Thanks for any help offered.
