Back Into A W220! (Wheel Question)

Took delivery today of a flawless 04 S430 with 35k on the clock, for a whopping $21k. Back in November I'd traded my 06 S500 with 120k miles for a brand new $50k Audi A5 coupe. Nice car, but damn did I miss my S. I just couldn't get comfortable in the Audi. So I gave it to my wife and went searching for another W220. (Not a fan of the new S550. I think the W220 is a more elegant and comfortable car.)

I found the new 430 at a MB dealership just two hours away. Single owner local car, perfect service history. Put it on a lift and I've never seen a more pristine, clean and dry undercarriage.

Used 2004 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 4.3L For Sale | Daytona Beach FL .

Anyway, I'm thrilled with the buy, but the car is Pewter/ Parchment and has a bit of an old lady vibe. No AMG appearance package, and fugly 17" rims. My S500 was black with the AMG package, and I loved the look of it.

My understanding is that the AMG sport package is cosmetic only, and that the staggered AMG split 5 spoke rims (+44 offsets all around) are a direct fit on the base 430. The sales guy was under the impression the AMG package involved bigger caliper brakes and different offsets, but I've never been aware of any mechanical difference between a base W220 and one with the AMG appearance package.

Any help would be appreciated. Very happy to be back. I will not stray again.
